In the latest Solosode, I share 5 powerful questions I use to checkIN with mySelf to support higher INternal + external progress through the remainder of the year.
While it’s commonly suggested to check in with the progress we are making towards the goals we set for ourselves within it at the start of the year (AKA the EXTERNAL aspects of our life); I employ a different checkIN focus for advancing my progress and performance in the year.
These 5 thought-provoking questions focus on the INternal happenings within mySelf + in my experience offer a much more powerful, holistic approach to generating more progress + higher performances towards our goals.
Whatever we are feeling, thinking + focusing on within IS directly impacting our external progress + performance. It ALWAYS starts from withIN.

Emily Hayden is A lot of inspiring things.
She is Fitness + lifestyle influencer
An IFBB Bikini Pro competitor
A YouTube Vlogger
A Podcast host to her show of Evolve with Emily
An online trainer, coach + fitness model
And above all, she is a relentless pursuer in creating a Life of Excellence.
I first discovered Emily on my friend Lisa Bilyeu’s Woman of Impact show and was immediately drawn a few things about Emily while listening to her talk on Lisa’s panel. For one, I was inspired by the powerful story of how she climbed out of some serious childhood adversity into becoming the successful entrepreneur she is today. I was equally inspired by the authenticity I felt in her presence as she shared her empowered mental framework that supported her to get through all of her adversity’s and become the resilient woman she is on a mission to support others to create a life of excellence.
I want to share a quote I found from her that I feel really touches on the power of her mindset:
There is no “end” for me. Every time I reach a goal, I start my journey towards a new goal. 99% of life is in the “journey” stage. 1% is the time when the goal is achieved, then you start back at 0 towards the new goal. That’s why I believe it’s so important to enjoy the journey and enjoy the process every step of the way.
Emily Hayden is MY kinda girl all the way. She’s that ALL IN, I can do better, Appreciate the ENTIRE process kinda girl who is creating her life from a place of pure passion, faith + authenticity.

AJA DANG is an American TV host turned lifestyle blogger who has a genuine passion for supporting others to become their best selves.
Aja comes from a background in Broadcast Journalism of over 13 years. She worked with major companies such as Fox, the NFL Network, Maxim Magazine and the Hollywood Reporter.
It’s not easy to depart from a secure career life like that and dive into the very uncertain and highly competitive arena of Social Media as an Influencer but Aja pulled it off both successfully with over 800,000+ in her growing community AND she’s done it staying true to herself and her passions.
She channels the knowledge and experience she gained from those earlier chapters of career life and infuses it all with her love for natural beauty and self growth- all of which create the killer content in her YouTube videos.
Aja and I met at a beauty event for Burts Bees a few years ago and we immediately hit it off. There were a lot of commonalities between us, our passion for natural beauty, wellness, Hawaii being homes to us both but the dominating connection above all was that we both knew we were exchanging with someone who is truly being their authentic self.
What I love about Aja in addition to how she keeps it so real and especially as a Social Media Influencer, is that the content she creates is legitimately valuable and fun to absorb. She is quirky, funny, smart, sexy and she cares about the ways at which she can support her community to truly create a life they love, that feels great and is true to who they really are.
A few highlights you will learn from Aja’s experience in this episode are:
Navigating through the discovery process of your desired career path
How to get clear on which career path to choose
What helped to break free of outside opinions and trying to fit into a “category”
What was useful to apply for strength and courage when facing very uncertain times in her career
How she found herself in massive college debt and what she learned from it
Getting out of massive college debt and sharing her entire process via her YouTube channel
The value in operating from Authenticity in life and through your Social Media channels
How utilizing Visualization supports her to achieve her goals
Why being responsible for your own happiness is a must
Being impactful by creating valuable content such as: how to get out of college debt or learning self-defense with #Jiu-Jitsu really helps to grow a genuine online community through your Social Media Channels.
This conversation is so much fun and especially great for those trying to learn how to navigate authentically through life and through the lens of Social Media.

I love Spring.
It’s all about refreshing life + new beginnings.
It’s also the 3rd month into the year and I work in 3 month sprints throughout the year, taking a break at the end of each sprint to evaluate progress made towards the goals that were made at the start of each sprint + how things FEEL in all the major pillars of life:
Self: health/fitness/interconnection goals
Relationships: partners + friendships
I utilize this technique from a NON judgemental approach to learn + to measure where I am in relation to where I want to be via my ideals, goals + set visions within all of these major pillars.
It’s very supportive to give you more clarity which furthers your ability to be more effective with your performance on the pursuit to actualize your goals/visions within each of these Life Pillars.
AND it’s a very valuable tool to assess your dominating emotional state that you’ve been living from throughout your process which is just as important as achieving/accomplishing your goals.
Personally, I rely on this technique + utilize it 4 times through the year to continue making inner + external advancements. And it works.
I believe that TRUE wealth + success in life means we are nourishing, investing, fortifying and expanding in BOTH intrinsic via the intangibles + extrinsic via the tangibles. In other words:
I want it ALL- don’t you? :)
