Looking for the perfect nude lip that won't wash you out? Here's 5 that are killing the game.

Trying to find the perfect lipstick shade can be exhausting with the endless choices that are upon us these days.  I went into my professional makeup kit and through all of my handbags to share my #1 Pink Nude lip color go-to's.

All of these formulas are creamy, high in pigment, won't dry your lips and don't erase your natural lip color but instead enhance it with their perfect pinkish-nude tones. They are very universal and look amazing on mostly everyone Ive ever applied them on.

Sunday feels like its a "legal relaxation" day.  It's the perfect day to escape the week just ending and prepare for a beautiful week ahead by indulging in some healthy "spa at home" time. These #beautyhero essentials are sure to pamper your skin and your senses on a 5 star level:

(From top left clockwise)

Angelface Botanicals Bath Salts: These beautiful bath salts come in 3 relaxing and rejuvenating blends of sea salts, organic flowers, seaweeds & essential oils.  Your body and your senses will be whisked away into ahhhh after 20 minutes soaking in them.

With ingredients like mood enhancing Ylang Ylang, calming Rose Oil and invigorating Basil Oil, you can expect a blissful reboot to your senses while your skin and hair get hydrating love.

Leonor Greyl Huile de Magnolia:  This all natural, luxurious body & hair oil is legitimately one of the best there is.  The smell of magnolias is absolutely divine and not too strong. The blend of botanical oils in it soothes & replenishes with in rich moister.  It absorbs nicely and keeps your skin feeling silky smooth.

RenSkinCare Flash Rinse 1 Minute Facial: This water activated gel mask is like a shot of antioxidant beauty superhero Vitamin C for your skin. It has a uniquely cool texture when applied and like the name suggests, it works FAST. We don't always have 5, 10, 15 minutes for masks as most require to work properly- this is your solution to brighter, toned and reenergized skin in just one small minute. Genius.

Glycol Lactic Renewal Mask: Exfoliating is one of the MVP's in keeping your skin healthy and radiant. This non-abrasive, AHA bio-active mask lifts dead skin cells, combats congestion, reduces sun damage and supports a firmer, toned complexion. It's mild enough for sensitive skin but potently effective for all skin types.

These four 100% mineral based sunblocks  are the leaders in the all natural category of sun protection for the face.  They contain zinc & titanium dioxide for solid sun protection, dry the clearest in the non-chemical sunblock category (not chalky white), do not clog pores and offer some nourishing ingredients that your skin will love..

Josie Maran's Argan Daily Moisterizer SPF 47 is my favorite mineral based sunblock for skin that is dry, sensitive or dehydrated. The Argan oil in it makes for a richer in consistency that feels nourishing upon application.  It gives off a healthy & dewy finish and wears nicely under makeup.

Bare Minerals Prep Step is great for those who have more oily or combination (oily around t-zone, dry/normal else where). It blends easy, feels very light on the face and once it settles into the skin, it's 100% clear on light to medium complexions.. If your skin is warmer, it can leave a very light shade of pale but easily covered with a tinted moisturizer or foundation.

Skin Ceuticals Sheer Physical Defense has been a staple of mine for years.  Its great on all skin types, it has a gorgeous universal tint that gives a radiant finish and evens out skin tone on fair, medium and lightly tanned complexions. Darker complexions may see some bounce off the zinc but mixing a few drops into a tinted moisturizer and/or foundation will hide it instantly. Well worth the effort.  It's light on the face but protects strongly against sun damage with an SPF of 50.

La Roche-Posay Anthelios 50 is awesome on all skin types. It's one of the lightest sunscreen's Ive ever felt. It dries clear and has a high SPF in it. This is my drugstore favorite for all natural sunblock.

Meet my MakeUp -All Stars-

I have to admit that even I am overwhelmed with all of the variety of makeup and skin care that exists today. Decision fatigue is REAL and especially in today's day, where we have so much more going on in our lives and less time for it. Meet some of my ALL STAR beauty products. These are some of my "hall-of-fame" products that have been out there kicking ass for awhile already and won't be departing from my makeup bags anytime soon.  Let me help you sift through the millions of options and information out there, so you can keep your decision making energy for other important parts of your life.  Below are 4 of my #beautyheros that travel with me on every single job I work on.

This moister rich foundation is absolutely stunning on normal to dry skin types. It goes on like a moisturizer, creamy and easy to blend into the skin. The pigment is rich and I love the color range (I would love to see a deeper range in it though for African American complexions). It's what I use on many of my clients for red carpet because it reads like fresh skin, not like makeup on their faces.  Its one of my TOP 3 favorite foundations and thats a prime piece of real estate in my makeup kit.

I'm an eyeliner kind of girl, so my standard are pretty high with this product. There are endless options out there but I can honestly say this liner (the black in particular) has kicks serious ass. Its so creamy so it glides on gently and has solid staying power once its settled in for a minute. The black is SO rich and I love that because it lends to a more dramatic effect around the lashes. The angled tip at the other end of the brush is legit. I have drawn on endless cat eyes with the assistance of that tip so its truly on bonus to the pencil. I also find that its not drying or irritating as some liners are.  It also comes in a beautiful shimmered (lightly) Bronze as well which makes a bronzed smokey eye, fast and easy to create.

At this point, it's no secret that this Secret Brightening powder by Laura Mercier is AMAZING. Perhaps what might surprise you that I don't just use it under the eyes but also in the t-zone area as well.  I'm such a fan of letting skin breathe to look like it's truest, most radiant self.  This powder allows me to softly keep some shine away (that could read as oily on cameras) and still allow a fresh and luminous finish to the skin. It has some light reflecting properties in it that help to blur imperfections and brighten but doesn't look drying or chalky (be light with your application and especially on med/tan skin tones).  I love using a small pony tail brush (like this favorite of mine from Smashbox) when applying in circular motions to blend it seamlessly into the skin.

The hype is REAL with this sponge. There are imitations out there now, some that I have tried, all that do NOT come close to this OG beauty sponge. The control it allows in your hands when applying makeup is fantastic. It's important to damp the sponge before you use it for the best results. The flawless finish it gives to skin is unparalleled in my opinion. I use it to apply moisturizer, primers, highlighters, cream blushes and bronzers in addition to foundations and concealers. I also use a clean damp one to gently pat in makeup after powder (if any used) or just as a finisher to make sure makeup is settled seamlessly into the skin and not sitting on top of it.

wake up, Makeup in 5 min...

Time. The most expensive commodity in life. Thats why I want to create some space in your day for you by sharing 6 fast steps to awaken your face with light but effective makeup techniques.   Allow your skin to breathe, let your features be what they are and not try to "correct" them. There's A LOT of makeup happening out there these days which is great, as there is something for everyone; but if you're in the market for some techniques to create a radiant, polished and natural look that's FAST and EASY- then here it is in 7 easy steps:

HYDRATE:  Dry skin looks like tired skin so using a great moisturizer before any base makeup is a MUST.  I love to keep my toners & nourishing skin tonics in the fridge so when I mist my face, my skin is calmed by the cool temperature of the product and my pores are tightened.

Sunscreen: If you have sunscreen in your moisturizer or a tinted moisturizer you can skip the additional step but protecting your face from damaging UV rays is important. Its easier to prevent damage then repair it.

TINTED MOISTURIZER: YES. More moister (unless your skin is very oily- then skip the extra moisturizer before this and just spray a nice hydrating mist) with a good pigment that spreads evenly and is light on the face for a fresh and natural finish.

BRIGHTENING CONCEALER: Not the kind that looks 3 shades lighter than your skin tone, but instead one that brightens just a shade up from your natural complexion to erase shadows under the eyes softly. I love to use a natural hair, pony tail brush and circular motions, blend the product seamlessly into your skin. Fingers are great too, I use both but to get a flawless finish, I like to buff out the product with a natural hair brush.

MASCARA: This is a major component to "waking up" your face. I personally love using 2 coats of black mascara on the top AND bottom.

LIP/CHEEK TINT: I love products that multitask not only are they excellent for saving time but they also save space which is a huge bonus to me. A healthy tint of color on hydrated lips and a pop of color that looks luminous (NOT DRY), wakes up your face in seconds.

EYEBROWS play a MAJOR role in looking awake or not (video coming soon). That doesn't mean you need to pencil them in to make them look like all the "instabrows" out there- it simply means brush them up and into shape at the very least so they give a "lifting" effect to your face. Its pretty magical when you see how a little lift of the brows brushed up can lift the appearance of your whole face.

I love makeup and the power of knowing how to use it. Its a wonderful tool that we can use to enhance our physical selves and I'm all for that. Its one of my favorite aspects of my career: through my design process, I contribute to my clients feeling great by keeping them looking like themselves while enhancing their unique features naturally. Keeping it simple can never do you wrong.

Of course I could add many more techniques and products to this post but my goal is to give you something fast and easy this time around.  Something natural and applicable to EVERY woman.
